Christina and Allen’s engagement session in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia was the perfect way to kick off my busy season! The weather was perfect, the light was beautiful, and Christina and Allen are precious as can be!

From my first conversation with Christina, I just knew I was going to love working with her and Allen. They are truly two of the sweetest people you will ever meet.

Christina and Allen’s love story began 4 years ago when they met on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. They hit it off immediately and have been inseparable ever since. In December 2020, Allen proposed to Christina at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens while walking through the Christmas lights. Does it get anymore romantic than that?

As much as I love taking photos during engagement sessions, I find it equally fun to get to know my couples. It is always so much fun to hear their stories, each others take on the proposal and all about their wedding plans. Listening to Christina and Allen’s plans for their wedding day has me counting down the days right along with them! I just know their wedding at The Barn at Willow Brook is going to be nothing short of beautiful.

Christina and Allen say this was their first time having professional photos together. My opinion? They’re naturals. I know it can be completely overwhelming and nerve racking having your photos taken, but don’t worry – your photographer (hopefully it’s me *wink, wink*) will walk you through every step of the way! Your job is to have fun and enjoy every minute!
