I was so excited when Lauren and Nate asked if I would be willing to come to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for their engagement session. I am always up for traveling somewhere new for a photo session and somewhere with so much meaning to my couples. It makes the session that much more special.
Lauren and Nate planned out the perfect locations for their session. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is truly a beautiful city with so much history and endless photography opportunities. I could have spent an entire day with them walking around the city to explore! Lauren and Nate were kind enough to let me ride along with them to the different locations since I’m not familiar with the city. This also worked out great since it gave us even more time to talk and get to know each other.
We began their session in Old City Philadelphia. It was such a pretty November evening with the fall colors shining through, adding such a nice touch. The cobblestone and brick pathways full of crunchy fall leaves was absolutely perfect. It was so quaint and beautiful. Not to mention, Lauren and Nate looked so great with the perfect outfits.
We walked to the Merchant Exchange Building next and oh my! Is it ever beautiful! The rounded front makes it so unique and so pretty. It was the perfect piece of historic Philadelphia city charm to add to their photos.
Next we went to the Ben Franklin Bridge where Lauren and Nate got engaged in December 2020. I can only imagine how perfect the proposal was! Nate invited friends and family along to capture the moment and celebrate with them. Plus how great was the location. The river behind them, the bridge right over them, city lights – so romantic.
We ended the evening exploring some of the fun locations Lauren and Nate frequent often. This included Fishtown which was a super fun, urban area complete with restaurants and murals.
I had the absolute best time with Lauren and Nate, photographing their engagement session until we were losing sunlight. I simply can not wait for their October 2022 wedding at Sequoia DC.
