At the beginning of the month I had the opportunity to attend a one on one coaching session with Brooke Lull of Brooke Danielle Photography. It was…
AMAZINGGG!!
I admire Brooke’s work and when she posted on Instagram about offering coaching sessions, I knew I could not pass it up. I am so glad I didn’t!
The session was 2 hours and full of so much great information. I had such a great time with Brooke – getting to know her and of course talking photography. It was so nice to sit down with another photographer and talk about all of the “behind the scenes” things. We discussed lighting, posing, marketing, and even Brooke’s early days of photography. Each part left me with a little more knowledge and a lot more comfort in knowing that we all have to start somewhere.
One of my favorite parts of my time with Brooke was the headshot portion of the session. I am by no means a model, but it was a great learning experience. It helped me gain more understanding with posing and how absolutely awkward some of y’all might feel when you’re in front of the camera. Let me tell you, I fully understand.
Yes, it was a bit awkward being in front of the camera at first. But it was so much fun!
Well, not feeling awkward necessarily, but you get the point 🙂
We shared a lot of laughs and had such a great time! Brooke even let me use her as a model to practice some of what she taught me. Which I thought was super nice of her!
Before I share some of the photos from the coaching session, I want to tell you that if you’re on the edge of trying something new or jumping into your dream. Just do it. Don’t let anything hold you back. I am so glad that I decided to jump in and do this coaching session. If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have learned so many new things and I wouldn’t have met such a great and talented photographer! So dive in and go learn or do something new. You never know what might be out there waiting for you.
A huge shout out to Brooke for allowing me to take these of her and share them! Thank you for everything!
I’m not big on sharing photos of myself, but Brooke did an amazing job with these headshots. So, here are a few!
