Some of you may or may not know that I’m a country girl at heart. I love being outside, animals, open fields, mountains, farms. Everything about the country I absolutely love. Except for that fresh country air, sometimes I can do without that 😉
When I got the inquiry about this session I was so excited to learn that they wanted the photos to be taken at their family farm. It was something I had never done before and I always shooting in new locations. It’s especially nice when it’s a location that means so much to someone.
This session was super special for them because they were celebrating 5 years of marriage! Unfortunately, they didn’t have many photos from their wedding so this was their anniversary gift to each other. Isn’t that such a great gift?! Spending time together AND capturing the moments. It doesn’t get much better than that!
I enjoyed spending time with this couple and learning all about their farm and what it means to them. I also really loved meeting their sweet animals, especially the Alpaca (Aww!!) and the most adorable Great Pyrenees (Aww!! Again!)
With that being said, here are some of my favorites from this session!
Like I said…how adorable is this pooch?! He wasn’t about to be left out!
Those storm clouds were the perfect backdrop! Never let some rain and clouds discourage you from a photo session — you can still get amazing photos!
When you can’t decide whether to share the color or black and white, you just share both 😉
Between the farm house and the black and white edit, I feel like I stepped back in time just for a moment! I wouldn’t complain, I would love to go back to the good old farm days before all of the hustle and bustle began! What can I say? I’m just a little bit old-fashioned (so my husband says 😉
Look at that alpaca cuteness!!
And you can’t forget about the turkey — whose name is Tom! — and the rooster!
