What better day to marry your best friend than on Valentine’s Day?! When I first heard from Molly, I was so excited to hear of her and Brian’s plans to elope in Old Town Alexandria on Valentine’s Day. I don’t think it gets much sweeter than that.
It was as if Molly and Brian had stepped straight out of a Hallmark movie. Molly is an interior designer and Brian is a contractor/architect. They were placed on a job together, where the architect and interior designer are supposed to be arch-enemies. However, the minute Molly saw Brian, she thought he was awfully handsome. Immediately they clicked and Brian took all of Molly’s suggestions to heart without any question or complaining.
As they worked together, they grew more fond of each other. After some time they began spending time together outside of work. Slowly but surely, the strictly business relationship became more than that. They developed a love that they knew would last forever.
I met Molly and Brian for the first time on the beautiful waterfront in Alexandria. It was the perfect day with the sun shining, a slight breeze, and just a little bit chilly. They had spent the weekend prior walking around Alexandria and deciding on the perfect location where they would say “I Do” . Molly said that they love taking adventures together so this was one more to add to their list!
It was quiet and peaceful with no one else around. As Molly and Brian looked into each others eyes, reciting their vows for a lifetime together, you could feel the love between them. It resonated off of them like the sun reflecting off the water.
After officially becoming Mr. and Mrs., they celebrated with delicious macaroons, cupcakes, and ice cold milk. Molly had the sweetest details planned out from their sweet treat to their beautiful flowers. It was a small celebration of their marriage, but so beautiful in every way.
We enjoyed walking around Old Town to find the perfect locations for their first portraits as husband and wife. We finished the session at their favorite restaurant – Virtue Feed and Grain – where they were going to enjoy their Valentine’s Day dinner together.
I so enjoyed meeting and celebrating this special couple. Here’s to many more fun adventures and delicious cupcakes for Molly and Brian!
