My first wedding of 2020 was a little extra special. Jackie is a friend of mine and I was so honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding! Think wedding photographers never get nervous after doing so many weddings? Think again. I was a nervous wreck. Yes, I typically always get nervous before a wedding but this one was totally different!
I was photographing my friend’s wedding and that just brings on a whole new level of nerves for me! Putting my nerves aside, the day turned out beautifully for this special couple.
The love between these two was so evident, it warmed my heart! It was so clear that God had brought them together for a lifetime of happiness.
The ceremony held so much thought and meaning. Jackie and John opted to not have a bridal party, but instead had their parents stand by their side. Jackie’s father performed the ceremony which was heart touching in itself. It was so wonderful to watch Jackie and John exchange their vows and promise to love each other all the days of their life.
On the side, Jackie does woodworking – beautiful work, might I add! She made their unity cross for their wedding day and it turned out so beautifully! I know the fact that she made it herself made it even more special and meaningful for the two of them. After all, as most know, a bride already has a ton of things on her plate. For Jackie to take the time to make the unity cross, it simply shows how much she adores her groom.
I could not be happier for these two! Wishing Jackie and John many, many years of happiness and blessings!
