The Barn at Willow Brook. Leesburg. Virginia. Wedding.

Where do I even begin with Melinda and Grant’s beautiful wedding at The Barn at Willow Brook in Leesburg, Virginia! The entire day was filled with so much love, laughter, and happy tears. It warms my heart just thinking about it.

Melinda and Grant are one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. They are so inviting and fun to be around. I truly did not feel like their photographer that day, I felt like I was part of their wedding party and family. Everyone was so kind and welcoming!

Getting Ready

Their day began at the Barn at Willow Brook in Leesburg, Virginia with some of the prettiest details, including a special bracelet that belonged to Melinda’s mom. It was the most perfect, delicate touch. Watching Melinda with her mom while getting ready was truly so beautiful. This is one of my favorite parts of the day. Being able to step back and be a “fly on the wall” just for a moment is the best. I love to hear the sweet interactions, the laughs, and the heartfelt tears. There is nothing like it.

The tears were flowing pretty frequently on this day, especially during the most precious father/daughter first look. Grab a few tissues before you scroll down. Trust me, you’re going to need them! There are truly no words to describe this moment. Absolutely priceless. Nothing compares to the love between a daddy and his little girl.

Before walking down the aisle, Melinda and Grant exchanged letters in separate rooms, but read them at the same time. How sweet is that? I captured Melinda while my second photographer captured Grant. This was such a precious moment!

Ceremony

The time came to say their “I Do’s” and oh was it ever the sweetest! I love seeing the reaction on the groom’s face, but on this day I’m not sure if I enjoyed seeing Grant’s reaction or his mom’s more. It was so special to watch Grant hold back tears and look over to see his mom lovingly watching her soon to be daughter-in-law while also glancing at her son. Priceless for sure.

There was laughter, there were tears, but most of all there was love. In the midst of so much uncertainty and chaos in the world, all that mattered at that moment was that Melinda and Grant were finally saying “I Do” to forever together.

Reception

Melinda and Grant are so obviously well loved by their family and friends. Just look at the size of their wedding party and you know they are instantly a favorite in a crowded room!

Their reception continued with so much love and laughter. From the heartfelt toasts, to the dancing, the most beautiful sunset portraits, and finally a super fun glow stick exit. Melinda and Grant truly had the best day, in my opinion!
