The Barn at Willow Brook Engagement | Melinda & Grant
As soon as Melinda told me about her love for Christmas, I knew she and Grant were my kind of couple! In case you didn’t know, Christmas is my absolute favorite! You better bet I’ll be playing the Christmas music and decorating in November – Enjoy it for more than a month is my lifelong Christmas motto!
Melinda and Grant even met around Christmas time! Grant was dressed as Santa and the rest is history. They hit it off immediately and have been inseparable ever since.
Grant proposed in their first home together. He began saying the sweetest things to Melinda and crying. Melinda thought for sure he had allergies and needed some medicine. That thought passed once Grant dropped to one knee and asked Melinda to spend forever with him. After a startled response from Melinda of “Wait! What?!”, it was a definite “Yes!!”.
Fast forward and here they are planning their special day! They are seriously one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. If you read my blog posts, you know that phrase frequents often, but I can’t help myself – I just love my couples to pieces!
It was such a joy to meet Melinda and Grant at their lovely venue, The Barn at Willow Brook in Leesburg, Virginia for their engagement session and walk-through. We began with going over all of the fun wedding day plans with their coordinator and ended the evening with their engagement session. Hearing all of their plans has me beyond excited for them! I know their wedding day is going to be so special as they are surrounded by close family and friends.
Not to mention, hello gorgeous portraits! These two are complete naturals in front of the camera. They made it look SO easy! Their smiles were infectious, and the love was simply shining between the two of them. I’m not sure which was brighter and more beautiful, the love between them or that beautiful golden light! Take a look for yourself and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about!
