Once again, as with most of my 2020 blog posts – “due to Covid-19”, Kim and Matthew had to reschedule their wedding day. In order to still celebrate their wedding day in some way, they decided to do a couples session on their original wedding date at Sky Meadows State Park. Everybody say it with me, “Aww!”.
Kim saw picnic inspired couple sessions on Pinterest. (What did we do before Pinterest, by the way!) So we set up the cutest picnic for a sweet session! Pretty flowers, a yummy cake and cookies – oh my!
While we didn’t have any sunshine for Kim and Matthew’s session, it was still so dreamy and romantic. Cloudy days are sometimes the best days for photos. You still get beautiful images and you don’t have to worry about shooting in certain spots to make sure the sun is just right, you pretty much have every option open!
We had Sky Meadows State Park to ourselves and that made it even more special for these two lovebirds. The open fields and mountains made the perfect backdrop for their picnic.
Kim and Matthew even decided to include their sweet pup, Frankie, in the fun. Just look at the little guy! Isn’t he the cutest? He was so photogenic and so ready to have some of that cake. He was so patient and waited for his own little bite of cake after it was cut.
Kim and Matthew were so upbeat and positive despite the fact they were supposed to be getting married that day. They were just as happy as they were when I first met them at their engagement session! We talked all about wedding plans and what to look forward to in October 2021. I can’t wait for their special day. Let the countdown begin, again!
