When I first spoke with Heather during our initial phone conversation, I knew that her and Ben were going to be a dream to work with!  I’m pretty sure we could have talked for hours just about all of the wedding plans.  She had me so excited that I was ready to tell my husband we’re getting married again!

Aside from discussing wedding plans, I also had the joy of hearing Heather and Ben’s story.  As a 30th birthday surprise, Ben proposed to Heather while they were on vacation in St. Croix.  I don’t know about you but I can’t think of a better birthday gift OR a better place for a proposal!  Can you imagine?!  Being on a cliff, overlooking the gorgeous blue waters and soft sand.  It must have been like something straight out of a fairytale!

As we continued our conversation, I will never forget these words that Heather said -“I’m SO ready to be a bride!”  I could hear the excitement in her voice and picture the smile on her face.

The Engagement Session

A few short weeks later I was able to meet Ben and Heather at their beautiful venue – The Oak Barn at Loyalty – for their engagement session.  It was so bitterly cold, but these two walked in with smiles from ear to ear, ready to go!  They say they’ve never been in front of the camera, but I think they were teasing me 😉 . They were such naturals!  Not only are they two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, the love in their eyes for each other was like that out of a romance novel.  They glowed and smiled from start to finish – despite the awful cold!

Along with Ben and Heather, we had a very special guest.  The adorable Yorkie puppy named Tucker!  He wasn’t so sure about the cold, but once he was cuddled between mom and dad, he decided it wasn’t so bad.  I can’t wait to see him in his special roll of ring bearer!
