I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jessie and Karl in beautiful historic Georgetown for their engagement session. I cannot say it enough how much I love meeting my couples! This is always such a great time for us to get to know each other, talk all about wedding plans, and practice posing. Of course, the posing part always seems to come natural for all of my couples! Jessie and Karl were no exception – just wait until you see these two!
It was a bit humid, but that light was, *ahem*…ammmazzzinggg!!! Talk about gorgeous light and a gorgeous couple. Put the two together and you can guarantee I will be squealing and taking just 1 more photo…or make that 50 😉
The gorgeous historic homes and cobble stone streets of Georgetown make for the absolute perfect backdrop. I could take photos there for hours! The options around us were endless and at every corner we turned, Jessie and I said “Ooh!! That’s so pretty! Let’s go there!”
Another of the many fun parts of an engagement session, is getting to hear my couples’ love story! Jessie and Karl have been together for 4 years and have now decided on forever together! While on a little getaway in Charlottesville, VA, Karl decided to pop the question. It was a simple and quiet New Year’s Eve celebration when Karl looked into Jessie’s eyes, asking her to be his “mate for life”. Scroll to see the cute little penguin necklace he gave her because penguins are known for being “mates for life”. Of course, it is no question that Jessie said yes! Now here they are, planning and looking forward to celebrating their marriage with their family and friends.
I simply cannot wait to capture Jessie and Karl’s special day at the beautiful Rust Manor House in August 2021! Let the countdown begin!
