After having to reschedule their original wedding date due to COVID-19, Alexis and Andy opted for a micro wedding at a lovely vineyard in Leonardtown, Maryland. The family owned vineyard, Generations Vineyard, was the perfect option for their intimate special day. Alexis and Andy were the first to get married at Generations Vineyard and what a beautiful day it was!
I first spoke with Alexis and Andy in the winter of 2019. Receiving the email from Alexis that they would need to reschedule their May 2020 wedding absolutely broke my heart. I know these two had already waited so long and having to hold off a little longer was not easy. However, they remained positive and upbeat the entire time!
On August 9, 2020, Alexis and Andy recited their vows and committed to a lifetime together surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a sunny, hot summer day and nothing short of beautiful. Under the perfect blue, sunny skies with the grapevines as a backdrop, they said their “I do’s”.
To begin their day, Alexis and Andy shared the sweetest first look. Andy was simply in awe of his gorgeous bride. The minute he turned around, he was speechless. There wasn’t a dry eye between these two. It always makes me heart skip a beat to see these types of reactions when my brides and grooms see each other for the first time. Whether it’s during a first look or walking down the aisle, the initial reactions are always priceless!
Immediately following portrait time, Alexis and Andy still wanted to incorporate a mini reception which included a first dance. Under a little white tent, with soft music playing in the background, they shared a precious first dance.
It may not have been the day they originally planned, but I have a feeling it will be a day they will forever cherish and never forget.
