I had the best time being able to meet Kelly and Kyle in Washington, DC for their sunset engagement session. Their original wedding plans have been disrupted due to COVID-19, but I wanted to make sure they were still able to celebrate their engagement and future marriage with some special photos together.
Kelly and Kyle have known each other for a number of years. They stayed in touch here and there over the years but have reconnected over the last couple of years. With this reconnection, came a love like they never knew before.
While on a quiet hike, Kyle dropped to one knee and asked Kelly to be his wife. To be his forever love. With no question, Kelly said yes! A simple reconnection after many years brought them together forever.
Hearing these sweet stories simply warms my heart. It makes me feel as if I am watching a Hallmark movie unfold right before my very eyes. And you know those Hallmark movies leave me in a giant puddle every time. Your love story is no exception – my heart could burst for my sweet couples.
Back to Kelly and Kyle’s engagement session! One good thing about having an engagement session in DC during a pandemic is that you basically have the place to yourself! We were there on a Saturday evening just before sunset. Seriously, I could not believe how low the crowds were. It was perfect! Of course, it was pretty hot outside, but we will take that and zero crowds any day!
Kelly and Kyle were such a joy to photograph! It was so easy to see how happy and comfortable they are together. I asked Kyle to whisper in Kelly’s ear several times and her smile lit up all of Washington, DC. Their love was glowing and oh so sweet!
I could not be happier for these two!
